Collected links
For my first collected link i will use a .gov website which means it should be reliable. This page is on the united states department of labors website. It is a list of engineering possibilities available to people interested in engineering. Not all of this info will need to be read, because there are only a one of the degrees i want to complete.
http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos027.htm
This next link is for an article from pro quest it talks about what the person believes an engineer will be doing in the year 2028. i will be able to use this info in my paper to guesstimate if we will have the same issues in the future.

this next piece is from an engineering blog website. it is mainly focusing on the video which talks about what an engineer does but puts it in a form that the everday person can understand.

the last link is for for a Wikipedia page it has tones of information on engineering. it has images and detailed paragraphs about certain parts of engineering.

intwerview writeup
This interview has helped allot it has lead me to a conclusion of what the main conflict in engineering is. And what we decided is the main conflict is safety and quality against time and money, because most engineers are on a tight schedule most of the time. And when the their a tight schedule quality can be sacrificed to get the product out faster, but also the quality is poor because of all of the cheap parts that are put on equipment.

Bureau of Labor Statistics. Occupational Out Look Handbook, Engineers. , 2010-11. Web. 5 Apr 2010.
This Article from the United States Department of Labor, it is an article about the different engineering degrees that the GOV. recognizes. There are many different types; I will be focusing an mechanical engineering and aeronautical engineering. This article including a quick description of each degree also shows updated pay scales for the 2010-11 year. The nature of the work, the training required to do the job, and an estimated amount of employment available for the 2010-11 year. This article give me information on much this job is needed and whether I will enjoy it or not.
American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Society Of Mechanical Engineers. 1996-2010. Web. 7 April 2010
This is a web page for the American society of mechanical engineers. This web site was created as a place for engineers to gather and exchange information. Also for the everyday person who wants to know more about what an engineer does. This site has a lot of wonderful information on it. I hope to make the most out of this resource I can. This site I believe is credible because it has been around for years, and the fact that it is ran by mechanical engineers.
Burt, V.. "Mechanical engineers in the year 2028. " Machine Design 6 Nov. 2008: Research Library Core, ProQuest. Web. 7 Apr. 2010
This is an article from pro quest that is very interesting. It talks about what mechanical engineers will do in the year 2010. It talks about how we will be trying to bring the poor back from the condition they are in back to respectable people. Also how all of the work will be done from home instead of from an office. This article is credible because from an library database. These databases seem to be extremely reliable.
Thilmany, J.. "MATH BY GENDER. " Mechanical Engineering 132.3 (2010): 15-15. Research Library Core, ProQuest. Web. 7 Apr. 2010.
This article is about how women are more appt to not take a degree in engineering, because they are not as confident in their math. If they were more sure about their math skills maybe there would be more female mechanical engineers. Honestly thing might be designed better if there were more female engineers. Because to me it seem women would succed greatly in this career. About this database it should be reliable.

Topic Proposal
My topic for this paper will be engineering, more specifically the group of mechanical engineering technology; aeronautical, automation, automotive, and mechanical engineering. I want to major in all four because the all are related. Plus I have many big ideas that require more than just one of these degrees to complete.
The first degree I will get is in mechanical because it was my original plan. Once I have that degree I will take the few classes that are required to get the other three degrees. the main reason I want to major in all four is the same as above to be more specific my brain is always going fast looking for the next big idea or how I can improve an object that is already available to man. That is just the way my brain runs, at a million miles never stopping tell night after I get it to wind down, because usually in bed is when it is going the fastest.
This type of degree is important to me because it is how my mind works. Also I enjoy designing new items, I also building when I designed them. Then I can see what I designed come together the way I want it to. Honestly I don’t trust other people to build what I design unless it was there idea then I don’t care.
